About Daria

Daria Ibn-Tamas is an intellectual property attorney who lives and practices law in Los Angeles, California.  She specializes in product liability and intellectual property law, offering pro bono services in the niches of consumer protection and non-profit law.  Daria Ibn-Tamas began her higher education at Columbia  University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Urban Studies and Political Science.  She went on to attend Delta State University in Mississippi, where she earned her Master's Degree in Commercial Aviation.  She ultimately obtained her J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law.  She is an expert in handling disaster relief, aiding those affected by disaster across the United States in planning out their next steps in recovering from disaster.  

Career and Interests

Daria Ibn-Tamas is passionate about her work, and beyond her career she spends a great deal of her time doing volunteer work for causes she feels strongly about, as well as pursuing personal business ventures. 

She has been a public speaker for causes that strive to bring awareness and aid to issues such as domestic violence and human trafficking.  Similarly, she has contributed her time as a board member for a multitude of organizations seeking to address health-care issues in poverty-stricken communities; more specifically, issues relating to HIV/AIDS awareness and care. 

Outside her volunteering and her career, Daria Ibn-Tamas remains highly involved in her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha.  From 1996 to 1998 she served as the Second Vice President on the International Board of Directors, a position to which she was elected.  In this position, Daria Ibn-Tamas frequently attended national and regional conferences, contributing to workshops and working to hear and rectify any concerns of fellow members.  By way of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Daria Ibn-Tamas has contributed to a number of non-profit and charity organizations.
